These kids are located in Minnesota. 2020 Cities Theme
In general, the kids we’re raising in Minnesota are very linebred to the Z Sisters (except the Zen x Galaxy son). They’re all very aggressive eaters, attacking the bottle twice each day and eating hay at 2-3 weeks of age. In our experience, if they don’t eat, they don’t milk!
ALL BABIES are bottle fed. We start weaned at 8-10 weeks old.

Candee - Cairo - buck (Retained), Caracas - doe (Retained)
Dynamo Zebra Candee EX 90 VEEE x Old Beach Z Earthshine Eider
Bred Oct 29, 2019 - Due Mar 22, 2020 @ 145 days
March 23, 2020 - Triplets - 2 does (lost 1 doe), 1 buck - all Black & White, doe -moonspots
Cairo (Eider x his granddam Candee). This breeding makes Cairo both a half-brother of Earthshine EX91 and a grandson. If you’re following what we’re doing here, that tells you he’s out of the very heart of the herd. His long and lean dairyness is obvious. Shoulders are perfect. We also like his width in the escutcheon, supporting the high scores of his dam and half-sister for rear udder height and arch. Available for $900.
Caracas (Eider x his granddam Candee). Physically, this Cairo littermate is rated our best 2020 doeling in the Minnesota herd. She exudes both strength and dairyness. She has super open ribbing, a neck as long and lean as her brother, an impressive barrel and is a super eater. We could have another Earthshine in the making here.

Zenovia - Nashville - buck (Sold), Northwoods - buck (Sold), Novara - doe (Retained - moving to VT)
Amethyst Acres R Zenovia x Old Beach Z Earthshine Eider
Bred Nov 16, 2019 - Due April 9, 2020 @ 145 days
April 10, 2020 - Triplets - 2 Bucks and 1 doe
Nashville (Eider x Zenovia). Here’s a very correct, dairy buckling that has Earthshine EX91 and Zena (16x Elite Doe and dam of breed leader Zuzanna) as his granddams. Again we invite you to look around the Nigerian world. That’s a pretty hard combination to beat for linebred milk and type. Available because we plan to use Zen heavily for 2021 kids, $700
Northwoods (Eider x Zenovia). Also a very correct, dairy buckling that has Earthshine EX91 and Zena (16x Elite Doe and dam of breed leader Zuzanna) as his granddams. Virtually identical to his littermate brother Nashville. Northwoods has both frosted ears and muzzle, as well as moonspots. Because we plan to use his half-brother Zen (yearling Zenovia son) heavily for 2021 kids,
Novara (Eider x Zenovia). She was the tiniest of the triplets from the mating and of all the kids born in our Minnesota herd in 2020 but she’s been working to make up for it. We predict she’ll have that mellow temperament that a lot of good milkers do.

Zephyrine - Rio - doe (Retained)
Amethyst Acres R Zephyrine x Old Beach Z Earthshine Eider
Bred Nov 25, 2019 - Due April 18, 2020 @ 145 days
April 24, 2020 - Single Doe Black & White, Moonspots
Rio (Eider x Zephyrine). A very long and open doe that got her refinement from Eider, her sire. Yet she still has the power of her dam. In general, our philosophy is to mate animals that complement each other in essential traits. So far, Rio appears to be the combination we hoped for.

Freedom (Eider x Zafira). Long and strong. Wide in the rump. Perfect front legs. All three of the Z Sisters are close up in the pedigree. His dam, who milked 1,380# last year, is also a granddaughter of 2018 breed leader Zuzanna.

Zinnzia - Memphis - buck (Retained - moving to VT), Milan - doe (Retained)
Dynamo Falcon Zinnzia VG 89 VEEE x Old Beach Z Earthshine Eider
Bred Nov 8, 2019 - Due April 1, 2020 @ 145 days
April 8, 2020 - Buck (Black & white) and Doe (black & white with moonspots)
Memphis (Eider x Zinnzia). A very long-bodied buckling and very, very open in the ribs. He is, to date, the best type buck Zinnzia has ever produced. Shoulders are excellent. He’s a grandson of Zesta (our foundation Z Sister and littermate to Zena), and linebred to the Z Sisters as well as Fairlea Fleur (granddam of Zinnzia and arguably the best doe Fairlea ever produced). Looks like he will be a junior herdsire in Vermont.
Milan (Eider x Zinnzia). Colorful and correct in feet and legs. Her dam Zinnzia (Zesta daughter, Earthshine aunt and Fleur granddaughter) has been one of our three best milkers for nearly a decade. As we have adjusted her mate selection over the years, the Zinnzia daughters we now own are showing us that linebreeding for milk and correct mammary systems pays dividends.

Old Beach YD Zinnzia Zydeco x Old Beach Z Earthshine Eider
Bred Nov 4, 2019 - Due Mar 28, 2020 @ 145 days
Feb 29, 2020 - Twins - Buck black & white, Doe tan swiss sundgau
Yuma (Eider x Zydeco). Another linebred Z Sister doeling sired by Eider. She literally attacks the bottle at feeding time. We predict she will mature to have more power than her dam, a very deer-like animal.

Bred Nov 12, 2019 - Due April 5, 2020 @ 145 days
April 7, 2020 - Single black buck with white poll and small spot on side
Galveston (Zen x Galaxy). As he’s gotten older, the Zen power has really started to show. Rump getting wider. Ribs getting more open. Excellent feet and legs. Zen, the ¾ brother of the super 2019 breed leader Zip Me Up, is a double grandson of Zena. Galaxy’s sire was a double grandson of UFO, our very correct son of Uni that was undoubtedly the all-time breed leader for milk (when combining AGS and ADGA records).
