Thought it would be good to have a place to be able to update, put achievements, and general excitement about what is happening at Old Beach Farm. There is always something going on, but it is good to share the things that keep us going.
In Spring 2018, the family relocated to Northern Georgia, and the goat herd stayed back in Duluth, MN until life gets settled and the goats can join us. I reduced the herd from 12 adult does, kidding around 25 kids per season, down to 5 adult does. The goats continue on and the plans for the herd are being fine tuned, bigger or better goals are being developed.
As for the Australian Shepherds, we plan to have another litter in the future. Breeze has reached retirement age, providing many families with wonderful puppies. Bell turned 2 this past spring, and she is still in need of getting her hips cleared, but we are considering possibly breeding her early 2019.
That's all for now.
